Educators act ethically and maintain the integrity, credibility and reputation of the profession.

At my core I have always believed that a person should conduct themselves with the utmost integrity and to the highest moral standard.  It is what gives our words and work credibility.  As a teacher, we are responsible for our communities children while they are at school.  We need to be trustworthy, outstanding citizens so that we might inspire the next generation to be even better.

I strove to do this during my practicum by keeping good records of the day to day activities.  I was in constant contact with parents to let them know when their child was having a bad day, and then also when they were having a good day.  This open dialogue with parents often shed light on why a student would behave in certain ways.  Constant documentation also allowed me to have honest conversations with my coaching teacher, practicum mentor, colleagues, principal, parents and students.
