Creating an engaging learning environment for all students

Tim Cavey and Podcasts

What did I learn?   Podcasts are another great way to develop professionally and expand our professional network.

Why is that important?  As professional teachers, we need to be constantly reflecting and learning so we can be effective teachers for our learners.  Podcasts provide access to innovative thinkers and leaders in the profession.

Where do I go from here?  I will be listening to more Teachers on Fire podcasts as well as other education podcasts to learn more about the innovation that is happening in the field of education.

Unfortunately I missed this presentation, however I am a fan of his podcast teachers on fire! Through reading a couple of blog posts I think a common theme I am seeing is that podcasts are another way to connect with innovative thinkers and learners to keep developing our personal learning intentions and development in this profession. I find podcasts are such a ‘raw and real” testament to what is going on here and now. They always make you think and question, is that what I do? How do I go about implementing these ideas in my classroom? Im excited to continue to listen to his podcasts and they are the perfect thing to hear to get me thinking, okay what is next for me?

I love that you went a different route and brought in a mind map of all your thoughts and ideas from the presentation. I completely agree with your point on being professional teachers, we need to be constantly reflecting and learning so we can be effective teachers for our learners. I am excited to listen to more Teachers on Fire podcasts as well to learn more of what is happening in the educational world!
